After playing the saint in the Padre Pio film, LaBeouf reportedly made the decision to become a deacon in January of this year, much to the astonishment of her followers.
The former Disney star’s conversion to Catholicism was proclaimed by the US friars who had assisted him in getting ready for the part of Pio.
Alexander Rodriguez, a Capuchin friar and his confirmation sponsor, then disclosed that LaBeouf has his eyes set on becoming a deacon “sometime in the future.”
After playing the lead in Padre Pio, LaBeouf went on to star in Megalopolis, a science fiction drama directed by Francis Ford Coppola that came out in September of this year.
Additionally, he just wrapped up filming Salvable, a British boxing movie in which he will co-star with Toby Kebbell and Michael Socha.
