After being scheduled to work eight hours, a Starbucks employee breaks down in tears.

 

“People wonder why we need a union at Starbucks,” the barista said. I’m honestly on the verge of giving up.

As in, I’m not sure whether I’ll really do it. However, I almost left today, as much as I would want to. And at the moment, I’m weeping in the back room.

I almost sobbed on the ground. “I’m a full-time student, and I get scheduled for 25 hours a week,” he said, describing his routine.

They then booked me for the whole day, from opening to closing, on the weekends. On both Saturday and Sunday, that one is planned for eight and a half hours.
