A mother from New York describes the terrifying experience of having her long hair trapped in a car’s fan belt and getting scalped.

In October 2016, Alon Abare, who now relies on a wig to conceal her injuries, was battling a mechanical problem. Her hair caught in the running fan belt as she leaned beneath the hood.

Abare told Inside Edition, “I reached in without thinking, and my hair got caught.”Her children hurried to her aid when she begged for help in a

Desperate circumstance.”I told them, ‘Find a pair of scissors and cut Mommy’s hair out so I can get free,'” she recalled.

As her daughter, Logan, delicately trimmed her hair to free herself from the equipment, her son, Sam, swiftly shut off the engine.
