Adding, “She just volunteered at my event today,” When Hopkins first saw them, he said, “WTF.”
After telling WROC that it was “just a random message,” she contacted the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office and showed them the texts and pictures.
They insisted the dental records matched, she said.
Hopkins stated that additional DNA testing was performed on other family members, but the results did not match, indicating that the remains were not Shanice’s.
Hopkins told the publication that she now thinks the medical examiner was “lying to my face” over the dental records, saying, “They wanted to close a missing person’s case because they couldn’t figure out who this was.”
I feel almost the same way.
