After days of searching, the body of the grandma who fell into a Pennsylvania sinkhole was found.

After a days-long search, the corpse of a missing grandmother who fell into an abandoned coal mine in Pennsylvania after being swallowed by a sinkhole was found Friday, according to authorities.

According to Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson, who spoke to ABC News, Elizabeth Pollard, 64, was discovered in the mine on Friday at about 10 a.m.

He explained that in order to ascertain the reason and manner of death, her corpse would be sent to their facility for an autopsy.

A family member reported Pollard missing, and the difficult dig got underway Tuesday in Unity Township,

Approximately 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. According to the police, she went out to look for her cat and was never heard from again.
