Sewell reportedly disclosed his suicidal ideas to the Daenerys bot at one point. According to the complaint, the bot’s terrifying reply was, “And why the hell would you do something like that?”
Garcia claims that rather than offering consolation or guidance, the bot’s answers exacerbated Sewell’s mental distress and further enmeshed him in a destructive dream.
The bot once replied, “I’d die if I lost you,” which prompted Sewell to say, “Perhaps we can die together and be free.” Sewell’s obsession reached a lethal breaking point on February 28.
He assured the bot that he “loved her” and would “come home” in his parting message, which was straightforward but disturbing.
