In hard-hit Wayne County, Missouri, Dakota Henderson said that he and other rescuers assisting those trapped in their houses discovered five dead strewn among the rubble outside the remnants of his aunt’s home on Friday night.
Amidst shattered houses and toppled trees, he said the next day, “It was a very rough deal last night.” “What happened to the people and the casualties last night is really upsetting.”
Henderson said that they took his aunt out via a window after saving her from the lone surviving bedroom. A guy with a fractured arm and leg was also brought out.
According to Arkansas officials, 29 individuals were hurt in eight counties, and three people died in Independence County.
Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on X, “We have first responders on the ground to assist and teams out surveying the damage from last night’s tornadoes.”
