Where many physicians examined him. Unfortunately, the 14-month-old’s injuries were much more serious than first believed, and his left eye was irreparably damaged.
“The doctors determined that the damage was too extensive and that he would need to have his eye removed,” wrote Nicole.
Graham had surgery at a children’s hospital to remove his eye, known as enucleation, only one week after the stocking holder fell on him.
Nicole claims that despite the sad circumstances, her son’s tale “has a happy ending.” The little child survived with a “flawless” prosthetic eye and seems to be in a good mood despite his loss.
