Gunn highlighted her commitment to the sport in spite of the criticism, saying, “I went out there and I had fun.” I did give it a lot of thought. I put in endless hours working for the Olympics. Really, I gave it my best.”
“I’m honored to have been a part of the Australian Olympic team and breaking Olympic debut,” she said, expressing
her satisfaction in being a member of the squad and the historic breaking debut. The accomplishments of the other sportsmen are astounding.”
Gunn asked the media to respect the privacy of her loved ones and the larger street dancing community as she prepares to spend the next several weeks in Europe for some “pre-planned downtime.”
