Jay-Z said that he is particularly concerned about 12-year-old Blue Ivy and fears that her peers would ask her about the case.

“My wife and I will need to explain the cruelty and greed of people to our children, one of whom is old enough that her friends will undoubtedly see the press and inquire about the nature of these claims.”
Jay-Z said that his “children should not have to endure” the gruesome charges at such a young age and lamented “yet another loss of innocence.”
“Trying to comprehend inexplicable levels of malice intended to destroy families and the human spirit is unfair,” he added.
