Aiynaha Ishmael of Teen Vogue wrote an article claiming that Anok’s annoyance “isn’t an attack” on Alex’s historic victory amid the criticism surrounding her widely shared remarks.
Ishmael underlined in the same article: “[Anok] should be frustrated, and rightly so. She is now on her second year of nomination. “Alex [Consani], you have my love and admiration,” Anok said.
Anok recognized Alex’s achievement in spite of her defeat, writing: “She lost the award in 2023 to model Paloma Elsesser — another deserving model and activist.”
“[Anok] has made an impact in the fashion industry, especially in the last three years,” she said, highlighting her influence in the fashion industry.
She has come to represent the epitome of what it takes to be a high fashion model. However, others misunderstood Anok’s motives because of her willingness to express her disapproval.
