When Williams gave the thumbs up, it was the moment we had all been waiting for. At last, Wilmore emerged in a similar mood.
The crew was ready to be transported to Houston, the center of NASA’s spaceflight operations, after their medical checks.
“Crew nine is going home,” Hague said before the landing. It was an honor to call space home, to live and work together for the sake of mankind, on behalf of crew 9.
“We know the station is in good hands with our coworkers and close friends who are still working there. We’ll be waiting for you and are eager to see what you guys will achieve.”
