I was taken to my local hospital […] all my doctor told me was, you know, everyone is allowed to have one seizure in their life without any investigation,” he said.
“Now learning that was not true practice and that’s not what he should’ve done – regardless if someone has a seizure, they need to investigate that.”
After dismissing Benjamin’s brain tumor symptoms, the physicians concluded that he had “low phosphate levels.”
After four years, Benjamin was “fine,” but in late 2022, while at work, he “felt like [he] was being electrocuted.”
“My inability to speak was the largest thing I ultimately gained. He remembers, “It was almost like my brain and my ability to talk just disconnected.”
“I think I was trying to assume it was simply the case,” he continues, “but I realized something was wrong at that point. I didn’t want to think it was something more severe or than that.”
