After protecting his younger sister from the rubble of a Philadelphia aircraft accident, a 10-year-old boy was left struggling for his life.

 

Andre is said to have been among the first patients to arrive at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, according to 6abc Philadelphia. Lashawn Hamiel, Andre’s distraught mother, told 6abc Philadelphia,

“My baby’s in there.” “Seeing him like that is difficult,” she said, her eyes welling with tears. “What am I meant to do as a mother? He’s excellent, however. He is persevering.

At first, Andre’s father, who goes by Andre, believed the aircraft to be a vehicle accident. “But then you see a flurry of fire in the air and then a bunch of debris shooting everywhere,” he said.
