She has had a difficult time losing weight and has gone to treatment many times for food addiction. She really weighed fifteen pounds more than she did when she checked in on one occasion.
Tammy had to deal with the devastating death of her husband, Caleb Willingham, who died in July 2023 at the age of 40.
Tammy persevered through all of this and eventually dropped enough weight to be eligible for bariatric surgery, which will help her lose even more.
In the 1,000-Lb Sisters episode that aired on October 15, viewers saw Tammy going to a weigh-in with Dr. Eric Smith, her bariatric surgeon.She spoke to the audience:
“I was around 420 pounds when I last visited Dr. Smith, which was about nine months ago. Before my next checkup, he informed me, I needed to shed 100 pounds. I’m very anxious.
