Raygun’s zero-score performance in Paris has been defended by the Australian sporting organization that sent her to the Olympics.
On Friday (9 August), Raygun, whose actual name is Rachael Gunn, ignited the Games in her own unique manner by ascending to the breakdancing podium.
A distinctive dance routine was revealed by the lecturer at Macquarie University, who also holds a PhD in Cultural Studies.
It primarily involved a series of inexplicable movements, as well as bounding around like a kangaroo and undulating on the floor like a serpent.
Despite the judges’ commendation of her “original” maneuvers, she received zero points after three rounds of preliminaries.
