“The child disclosed seeing his father, wearing black boots, stomp his mother in the head 20 times while she was lying on the ground next to a black refrigerator in the basement,” the probable cause affidavit states.
The child also saw Rebecca Hoover, who was motionless and unconscious, get punched in the stomach by Judson Hoover while holding a set of keys.
The youngster saw blood oozing from Rebecca Hoover’s left ear and head.
When Judson went to pick up the children from school on August 27, detectives met with him and he gave permission for the police to investigate the family’s house and cars.
Blood spatter was found at the base of the basement stairs by investigators and crime scene personnel.
Judson said in his plea that he had first left Rebecca in the basement and had strangled her to death.
