After the Paris Games, two Paralympians and a guide are missing.

Claudine Bazubagira, a Rwandan volleyball player competing in the Paralympics, disappeared after leaving for supper in the western Paris district of Courbevoie.

Despite getting in the French city on time, the athlete did not show up for the opening ceremony and ultimately missed the whole tournament, according to Daily Mail.

Authorities said in a statement that the “worrying disappearance” was under investigation and had been sent to the Brigade for the Suppression of Crimes against Persons, or BRDP, according to the outlet.

Dayle Ojeda, a judoka from Cuba who went to Paris to assist competitors in getting ready for the Olympics, vanished before the opening ceremony as well.

A few weeks later, the 31-year-old made a reappearance in Spain, where she sought safety. She told CiberCuba.com,

“I feel good, now more at ease and confident, looking forward to starting a new life,” and she also mentioned her desire to represent Spain in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
