According to Leeper, Hale was the target of an offensive gesture from a passenger in Allison’s Nissan. Then a plastic water bottle was thrown into Allison’s car by someone in Hale’s car.
Then, according to Leeper, Allison snatched up his 45mm Sig Saur pistol, shot Hale’s vehicle once, and then sped off. Hale’s daughter, age five, was shot in the leg.
Hale reportedly chased Allison’s vehicle and fired many shots from his Glock 43 9mm pistol after realizing his daughter had been wounded.
