Photographs showed that although it sounded like something out of an urban legend, it was all too true. Unfortunately, their problems were only getting started.
The horror started when 22-year-old Katie Stephens came home to Canada after traveling to Punta Cana with her 25-year-old boyfriend Eddie.
In an attempt to alert others, she posted some extremely unsettling images on Facebook that are difficult to look at if you are even somewhat uncomfortable.
Katie promptly cautioned, “Please be careful when in the sand,” and suggested that anyone going “somewhere tropical” “wear shoes!”
She didn’t take long to get right to the point. She stated, “My boyfriend and I recently returned from Punta Cana and found that we both have larva migrans, or worms in our feet.”
