Judge Lia Martin dismissed Jolie’s efforts to have Pitt’s case dismissed, according to court records filed on November 8.
An agreement the two struck in 2013 that purportedly guaranteed them both the right of first refusal on any sale of the property is at the heart of the conflict.
Jolie sold her share of the vineyard to a third party without Pitt’s permission, according to Pitt’s lawyers, in violation of this agreement.
According to those close to Brad, the decision represents a serious setback for Jolie’s case, since her side’s arguments lack “substantiality.”
