The 28-year-old, who was married to Mattie Jackson Selecman, tragically died while attempting to assist a lady in getting into a boat.
The Tennessean reports that Ben slipped and struck his head while attempting to assist a lady in getting into a boat. Sadly, Ben died from “severe traumatic head injuries” after being taken to the hospital.

Where Ben served as Assistant District Attorney, that his sense of humor and unwavering determination will be much missed in the workplace.
They said in their statement, “He was truly a rising star, and I’m sad that we lost him, but I’m thankful for every day that he worked for us because he was great.”
