The little child has now fully recovered because to the amazing efforts of the brave medics, and an international medical publication is apparently going to publish a description of the difficult procedure.
The strange incident occurred almost a year after Peruvian Celia Trello was said to have inadvertently eaten a 5-cm nail that had been lodged in a port rind.
In February 2024, the 69-year-old, who was consuming the snack, went to the emergency hospital after feeling ill and finally throwing up blood.
Over a month later, a team of surgeons performed a three-hour surgery to successfully remove the nail that was penetrating one of her cartoid arteries.
Ms. Trello was able to leave the hospital in a stable state, despite the fact that the procedure left a large scar on her neck.
The case was the first of its sort to be recorded and successfully treated in Peru, according to the Peruvian State website.
