In an update, Mass General Brigham Newton-Wellesley Hospital revealed the most recent results of its inquiry.
A Massachusetts hospital has opened an investigation after six employees who work on the same floor were found to have brain tumors.
In an update uploaded to its official website, Mass General Brigham Newton-Wellesley Hospital announced a sixth diagnosis while reassuring everyone that the inquiry is still ongoing.
The announcement follows 11 unit employees who reported health problems, five of which were later found to be benign tumors.
Two of the first five tumors were discovered to be meningiomas, the “most common type of tumor that forms in the head,” according to the Mayo Clinic, while the other three were apparently brain tumors.
