An NFL reporter admits that his 2-year-old daughter passed away from cancer.

Doug wrote after Hallie’s recurrence that the family was making an effort to maintain optimism in spite of the challenges the little child was facing.

He commented at the time, “I’m choosing to stay positive,” and that Hallie had overcome all of the challenges that AML had thrown at her so far.

This will undoubtedly be her hardest challenge yet, but our spirited little Hallie Bear is more than capable of taking it on. “The whole family spent special time at the hospital last week,

but we held out hope for remission because of how brave, strong, and resilient Hallie had been through her entire nine-month battle with acute myeloid leukemia and all of its complications,

” the NFL reported, acknowledging that they “knew the prognosis was poor when she relapsed after her bone marrow transplant.”

One kind of cancer that starts in the bone marrow, where blood cells are made, is called acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
