In a statement, the Coast Guard noted, “The fifth interdiction during Kimball’s patrol is a great example of how complex it is to stop illegal activities on the open ocean.”
“Kimball sank the vessel to prevent it from posing a threat to other vessels after first conducting aerial surveillance and then enlisting tactical law enforcement.”
It’s possible that this is the most significant video gun owners see during the year. During this deployment, the Kimball’s crew detected and recovered illicit drugs worth.
An estimated $214 million on the black market as part of its larger mission. In San Diego, the confiscated narcotics were later offloaded.
The Coast Guard said these actions are a part of a continuous effort to stop illicit narcotics from entering the United States. “The men and women of the Coast Guard do everything.
In their power to interdict drugs before they reach our shores because illegal drugs pose a dangerous threat to the American people,” the agency said.
