The country artist sang a version of the US’s “Star-Spangled Banner” during the Major League Baseball (MLB) Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas on Monday, July 15.
Some internet users slammed her rendition, calling it the “worst national anthem in like… years,” and she took heat for it.
But now that Andress has disclosed the truth about what happened leading up to her performance, people are being reminded to be kind and consider before they write.
