They need to know they won’t be penalized for giving TikTok to more than 170 million Americans and enabling more than 7 million small businesses to prosper.”
It is a resounding defense of the First Amendment and an opposition to capricious censorship. We’ll collaborate with President Trump to find a sustainable solution that retains TikTok in the US.
Joel Thayer, a DC-based digital lawyer and policy specialist, said the shutdown was probably a “PR stunt” after the abrupt change in circumstances. Thayer told The Post on Sunday.
That TikTok’s early closure was either the result of business ineptitude or a calculated public relations ploy to create a phony feeling of alarm. “I assume it’s the latter because it’s waffling.”
