As ‘cocaine’ rumors abound on social media, the truth behind the widely shared video of French President Macron

After French President Emmanuel Macron went viral and was subjected to outrageous charges by social media users during his visit to Ukraine last week, the “truth” has come to light.

While traveling to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Macron, UK Prime

Minister Keir Starmer, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz were captured on camera and photographed meeting in a train car.

According to the Metro, the trip was made to express solidarity with Ukraine and to pressure Russia to accept a 30-day ceasefire in the continuing conflict.

A small army of social media users, however, claim that the leaders were having a little party with some cocaine and weren’t there to talk peace.

Online trolls said Merz was clutching a “straw” that was used to inhale cocaine, and that Macron was “hiding a bag of cocaine” while seated next to his counterparts.

The French government had to step in because the rumors were getting out of control.French officials
