Values Canadians cherish are democracy, pluralism, the rule of law, self-determination and freedom; ones the government is resolved to defend.
He went on, “The system of free global trade that, while not flawless, has contributed to bring prosperity for Canadians for decades is changing. Furthermore altering are Canada’s connections with her allies.
“We have to be clear-eyed; the world is more hazardous and unpredictable than it has been since the Second World War. “Canada is confronting issues hitherto unheard of in our lifetime.”
