It remains ambiguous whether Trump will actually follow through with the plans or when the grand reopening could take place. But the POTUS does seem pretty resolute.
President Trump stated: “That is why, today, I am directing the Bureau of Prisons, together with the Department of Justice.
FBI, and Homeland Security, to reopen a substantially enlarged and rebuilt ALCATRAZ, to house America’s most ruthless and violent Offenders.”
He made the decision: “Criminals, thugs, and judges who are scared to carry out their duties and let us expel criminals who entered our country illegally will no longer hold us captive.
ALCATRAZ’s reopening will stand as a testament to justice, law, and order. “We’ll make America great once more.”
