Nearly five years after the original show’s conclusion, the spin-off was announced since it was the most watched show on Netflix in a single year. The spin-off Suits: LA summary from Deadline says:
Ted Black (Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself by defending the most influential clients in Los Angeles, is the main character in Suits: L.A.
“His company is in disaster, and he has to accept a role he detested throughout his career in order to survive.
“The circle of personalities that surround Ted test their allegiance to Ted and to one another, and they are unable to avoid blending their personal and professional lives.
“All this happens while the show slowly unravels the events that years ago led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved to start all over.”
