He was ‘not breathing’ and ‘experiencing vomiting’ for days on end, according to reports, so on July 9 Webster County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to his father’s house in West Haven.
Officers and paramedics discovered Gavin on the restroom floor and tried to revive him. After that, he was brought to the hospital, where, according to authorities, he passed away.
In relation to the boy’s horrifying death, which the court heard was caused by “a prolonged pattern of abuse over the course of several years,” his father, stepmother, and older brother were all placed under arrest.
Tyler seemed to be hauling things to the shed on two of these excursions. According to the affidavit, “small surveillance cameras were found in the shed Tyler entered during a search of the property.”
Nichole’s phone also turned up screenshots of security footage that tracked Gavin’s room, revealing the appalling conditions the youngster was living in.
