The forecaster cautioned that it might create challenging travel conditions and will be in effect from 5 p.m. on Thursday until 10 a.m. on Friday.

Additionally, a snow and ice warning is in effect for portions of northern Scotland from Thursday at 4 p.m. until Friday at 10 a.m.

On Thursday night, a lengthier period of rain and sleet will replace sporadic wintry showers, especially in western Scotland and Northern Ireland.
