At 71, Robert Trebor passes away.

Actor Robert Trebor, who starred in Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, has away at the age of 71. Trebor’s wife, Deirdre Hennings, told The Hollywood Reporter that.

Her husband died of sepsis at Los Angeles Medical Center on March 11. He had a stem-cell transplant the following year after fighting leukemia since 2012.

The star’s obituary reads, “Mr. Trebor’s talent, humor, energy, and enthusiasm will be greatly missed by all who knew him, most especially by his wife,” according to PEOPLE.

In order to prevent confusion with fellow student and writer Robert Schenkkan, he acquired his stage name—his first name written backwards—while still in college. He was born Robert Alan Schenkman in Philadelphia on June 7, 1953.
