At age 63, Scottish comic Janey Godley passed away.

 

Godley announced in September of this year that she would be receiving palliative care and entering a hospice,

Forcing her to postpone her fall event dates. The comedian received an honorary degree from the University of Glasgow earlier this week.

As a spokeswoman stated: “We are delighted to confirm Janey has been made an Honorary Graduate of the University,” Storrie claimed the honor provided her mother “so much joy in the final beats of her life.”

“Granting the amazing Dr. Godley an honorary doctorate is a privilege. Janey and her family have our undying love and support.

Chris Davis Management released the following statement: “We regret to inform you of the passing of our client, Dr. Janey Godley, on November 2.

With her loved ones at her side, Jaye passed away quietly in Glasgow’s magnificent Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. Her numerous admirers, friends, and family will all miss her terribly.

In addition to her renowned voiceovers of Nicola Sturgeon during the epidemic and her frank and witty humor, she will be remembered most for just being Janey.
