At least five people are killed and over 700 injured after a massive explosion of ballistic missile fuel at an Iranian port, prompting Tehran to place its security agencies on “high alert.”

 

First responders were trying to get to the scene, while others were trying to flee, Mehrdad Hasanzadeh, a provincial emergency management official, said Iranian state media.

Without providing any details, Hasanzadeh said that the explosion originated from cargo at the city’s Shahid Rajaei port.
