Gunfire broke out at an Arizona restaurant hosting a Cinco de Mayo party on Sunday night, leaving at least nine people wounded.
Stunned witnesses described a flurry of gunfire coming from a Glendale steakhouse at the junction of Glendale and Grand avenues at around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday night, causing panic.
As mayhem broke out at El Camarón Gigante, police got a number of anxious 911 calls. Dozens of individuals of all ages were there for a family-friendly Cinco de Mayo celebration.
According to one witness, there were over 20 bullets fired, and the gunfire continued for 15 to 20 seconds until 10 additional shots were heard 30 seconds later.
Moroni Mendez, the public information officer for Glendale Police, described a scene of haste and uncertainty at a tense press conference at around 9 p.m.
