Trump’s participation makes him the first American president, current or past, to attend a Super Bowl in person. Even though political leaders like former President George H.W.

Bush and Vice President Al Gore have attended the NFL’s most important night, no incumbent president has ever sat in the stadium until today.

The Hill reports that at the occasion, cameras captured the 78-year-old president shaking hands with Chris Jones, a defensive lineman for the Kansas Chiefs.

Trump was also seen meeting and greeting the honorary coin toss participants from this year, which included emergency responders, representatives of the New Orleans Police Department,
