At the age of 90, Timothy West tragically departed away. According to BBC News, West’s family revealed that he died “with his friends and family at the end” while sleeping.
“Long and extraordinary life on and off the stage” was how his three children recalled their father. A mainstay of British theater and cinema, West had an incredible career that lasted almost 80 years.
His parents, who were both interested in the theater, encouraged him to pursue his love of performing from an early age. He was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on October 20, 1934.
In his illustrious career, West has portrayed a wide range of characters in television, movies, and theater.
His work in classical theater, which includes multiple productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), is arguably his most well-known contribution.
