This past weekend, the three went hunting together, something the twin brothers had grown up doing with their father and something they loved to do together.
“I’m so fortunate to be able to spend that weekend, not knowing it was the last weekend I’ll ever spend with him,” Metcalf stated.
“I was able to observe and feel incredibly fortunate to have two wonderful sons. My other son is in complete awe. He won’t be the same, and I feel sorry for him now. None of us will.
Metcalf is aware that his son had an impact on people’s lives based on the volume of individuals that visited the hospital.
Background: Austin Metcalf, a junior at Memorial High School in Frisco, was slain on April 2 at a UIL District 11-5A track meet held at Kuykendall Stadium.
According to the police, after a struggle, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, a student at Centennial High School in Frisco, stabbed Metcalf in the chest.
