“Having him acknowledge and honor the important role booksellers play in the industry means the world to me.”
Patterson has donated millions of dollars to reading initiatives, schools, and libraries in addition to his contributions to bookstores.
He received the Literarian Award, an honorary National Book Award, from the National Book Foundation in 2015 for “outstanding service to the American literary community.”
