A Mexican influencer who was slain by a cartel leader sent a menacing note before she died.
Valeria Marquez died in her own beauty parlor on Tuesday, May 13, when a shooter posing as a delivery man—possibly ‘Doble R’ of the Jalisco Nueva Generacion cartel—burst in and started shooting.
The 23-year-old was hit once in the chest and again in the head while livestreaming.
According to the Mexican newspaper El Heraldo, Doble R is the main suspect in the murder investigation. Investigators have stated that there are ‘no specific allegations’ in the case at this time.
Prior to the catastrophe, the two had been intimately involved for some months, but Valeria seemed to know that her time was running out.
According to early reports, Doble R may have become violently upset after she received costly gifts from her online followers.
