The deadly shooting on Florida State University’s campus on Thursday claimed two lives and seriously wounded at least six others. Robert Morales has been recognized as one of the victims.
Phoenix Ikner, 20, the shooter at FSU, was found to be the stepson of Leon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jessica Ikner. The weapon discovered at the campus scene was one of his stepmother’s.
Guns, which authorities claim he had access to. Ikner has now been admitted to the hospital after suffering injuries during the incident.
After the terrible event, the shooter’s last social media post was made public. In his writing, he used a passage from the Bible’s book of Jeremiah to warn of the impending day of judgment:
“You are my war club, my weapons for battle, with you I shatter nations, with you I destroy kingdoms.” Ikner expressed white nationalist beliefs to several of his classmates before to the incident.
