Before the Friends actor passed away at the age of 54, Matthew Perry and his assistant spent $55,000 over the course of 29 days on 55 ketamine vials.

Perry wasn’t getting as much as he desired. Plasencia emailed Mark Chavez, a friend of his who works as a doctor in San Diego, and he agreed to provide ketamine for him.

Plasencia texted Chavez, asking, “I wonder how much this moron will pay.” Meeting that same day in Costa Mesa,

California, which is midway between Los Angeles and San Diego, the two traded at least four ketamine vials.

Back at Perry’s residence, Plasencia was given $4,500 in cash by Iwamasa in exchange for the vials. Plasencia administered two ketamine shots to

Perry and offered Iwamasa instructions on how to administer the shots to the performer. Texting Chavez, Plasencia said the whole thing “felt like a bad movie.”
