Sanders then went on to discuss what he believes to be a cultural gap inside the party, citing Democrats who sold out to wealthy backers decades ago.
He mentioned a change in the 1960s and 1970s when, in his opinion, Democrats started to overlook working-class Americans after learning they could generate money from the affluent.
“You have consultants who make a lot of money in campaigns and are utterly far from reality,” Sanders added.
The conversation pivoted to Kamala Harris’s crushing defeat, where Bernie Sanders got visibly upset.
He recalled how Kamala’s “bloody consultants” told her to campaign on: “Hey, everything’s good. We’re going to keep doing the exact same thing.”
