A Heartbreaking Final Message
On January 31, 2025, O’Connor announced her cancer diagnosis on Instagram, where she harshly criticized the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) for failing to act on her concerns:
“For 17 weeks since October, I’ve been in constant pain… I said from the start I felt it was cancer.
I KNEW the risks,” she wrote, referencing her pre-existing conditions: ulcerative colitis and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)—both of which raise cancer risks.
Despite multiple A&E visits, she says doctors dismissed her pleas for scans and blood tests, allegedly telling her it was “all in [her] head.”
By the time she was diagnosed, the cancer had spread, and blood clots were also found in her lungs.
