Brooklyn Half Marathon Runner Dies After Collapsing Mid-Race

More than 28,000 runners participated in this year’s event, which began at the Brooklyn Museum, continued through Prospect Park, and ended along the Coney Island Boardwalk.

A touching comment left on Rogers’ final social media post read:

“From one runner to another, thanks for supporting Team for Kids, and giving your life for the love of running and improving the lives of young people. You will be missed.”
