The caretakers at the Australian Zoo closely watched first-time mother Kaitlyn give birth because Sumatran tigers are listed as endangered species, and humans do everything in their power to prevent their extinction.
According to recent estimates, there are between 400 and 600 of these tigers in the wild, and they were prepared to intervene in case of an emergency.
But it appeared that they didn’t need to because this mother’s instincts took over the moment she noticed her firstborn baby wasn’t breathing normally.
