Chance Gainer, a high school football standout, collapsed during a game in Florida and died at the age of 18.

Further, Norton said that Gainer ‘had world-class speed, but more significantly, had a world class demeanor.’

Paramedics first treated the 18-year-old honors student without a pulse, as Norton also disclosed. But they did find one before they rushed him to the hospital in an ambulance.

Gainer becomes the twelfth football player to pass away this year, according to campaigners who are fighting against concussions.

According to reports, the football standout who passed away had a GPA higher than 4.0 and had just met with representatives from Vanderbilt University to explore a potential transfer.

In the wake of the incident, WDBJ7 reports that school administrators are arranging for grief counselors to visit the campus and meet with students, faculty, and staff.

New information regarding the family life of the alleged Georgia school shooter have emerged along with the publication of his mugshot.
